First of all, that recent loss against the Bobcats does not count – we expected the Lakers to lose that game. Charlotte is Los Angeles’ kryptonite. I wouldn’t read much into any of the Bobcat games against the Lakers. (Unless they meet in the finals!)
It must be a matchup thing. The Bobcats are athletic before, with Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace. The addition of Boris Diaw and Raja Bell even makes them more athletic. Yes, even though Bell has lost a step of two.
