Kobe Bryant’s Presidential Scoring

Here’s a very funny stat:
Kobe Bryant scored 20 points in the Lakers’ won over the Cavaliers on Monday, bringing to 17,340 Kobe’s total of points scored in 602 games played during the George W. Bush administration — the second-highest points total by any NBA player during a single presidential administration.
Kobe fell 83 points short of the record of 17,423 points scored (in 642 games) by Alex English during Ronald Reagan’s eight years in the White House.
This stat was gathered by the Elias Sports Bureau.
What an interesting way of cross-referencing two things that are not related to each other.
