Paul Pierce explains comments on Kobe

Paul Pierce explained that his proclamation of being the best player was not an “attack” on Kobe but a reflection of his confidence on his own basketball skills.

He goes on to say that he loves Kobe and watches him play all the time. He also says that Kobe and him don’t trash talk when they’re competing against each other.

I believe him (after reading his explanation).  It’s a classic case of “words taken out of context”.

Speaking of Kobe, his offense in the Beijing Olympics looks average.  His defense, however, is still topnotch. I’d like to believe his defensive tenacity rubbed off his teammates.  Team USA is a better defensive team than its last few predecessors.

Do you think Kobe’s tired (after the playoff length he had to go through)?
