- Let’s start with the controversial non-call. Yes, he was fouled. No, the refs didn’t have to make that call. It’s the playoffs, baby! The refs will let the players decide the game. Besides, there was no chance that Brent Barry could’ve made that shot and he seemed to not want the shot but just fish the foul. He should’ve squared up and take the shot and met Fisher head on.
- How about the other non-calls and the like? Fisher’s shot grazed the rim, so that means a fresh 14 seconds on the shot clock. Instead, Kobe had to hurry his shot because officially and erroneously there were only 2 seconds left in the shot clock.
- How about Odom’s block? Replays show he caught the ball just before it hit the backboard.
- How about Duncan’s marathon to the hoop? Yep, it was a travel. It seemed he was heading to France, the way he traveled.
- It also looked like Manu stepped on the line when he swished the “trey” in the last minutes.
- If you look closely too, Barry traveled before Fisher landed on him.

- And how about Kobe’s zero freethrows? The NBA - where amazing happens. He took 29 shots and didn’t get a single freethrow. I have to commend Kobe for keeping his cool. He didn’t get to the freethrow line too much in this series. How much did he get the entire series so far? Six or seven? I’m too tired to look it up but you get the point.
- I like how L.A. Times’ Jonathan Abrams said it: “From one lucky shot deserves another to one non-call begets another.”
- The league acknowledged that Barry was fouled. So why can’t they acknowledge the other stuff that went wrong as I listed above? Again, let me quote Abrams: “ONE NON-CALL BEGETS ANOTHER!“.
- Where Manu goes, so does the Spurs. He again didn’t play well enough in game 4.
- Kudos to Popovich. He agreed that the ref didn’t have to call *the foul*. I’m not so sure if he was just being sarcastic though.
- My heart tells me Los Angeles will win game 5. My mind tells me San Antonio will win game 5.
